Any reason to go to La Tavola is a good one, whether it's planned ahead or last minute. Attending an opening a block away on a Monday in early June, we were glad to see La Tavola was open as many restaurants are closed on Mondays. We chose a table outside on the front patio. Late Spring weather gave us a balmy breeze throughout our extended time here. Our party of three ordered drinks and two appetizers since we'd all just had a sandwich wrap at the event. I wanted to try their gnocchi starter but it was sold out. The eggplant torta was exceptional, and I'm not an eggplant person. Definitely something to order again. Meatballs are a big deal in Waterbury, and the competition is serious. For this reason, I had to try theirs. Not my meatball. Too soft. They broke apart easily. Nice sauce and flavor, however; these things are personal. Drinks had a good pour and were well made. The ciabatta was light and airy served with a garlic puree. Our waitress really knew the menu and food as veteran staff, which is always appreciated. The friend who joined us never saw the glass floor in their bar before and had to marvel at it, running downstairs to take photos from below looking up, as well. Everyone loves it. We could not leave without ordering an entrée to go to have the next day. The Paccherri with roasted chicken, pancetta, sundried tomatoes, leeks, spinach and garlic in a shallot broth is a fine medley. # Another popular caterer for outdoor parties in the warm weather is La Tavola's Pizza Truck. They bring their mobile wood-fired oven right to your home or event and hand make dozens of pizza with a variety of toppings. There is a list to choose from if there are some things you don't like or some you just love. Attending a party that had the La Tavola mobile unit on hand was a real pleasure. Have had several delightful delicious meals here this trip and on other occasions. Always seeking the best and this place makes my tastebuds dance. The music waitress and bartender have also been outstanding each time. Home made pastas and sauces. Fresh Scollops & shrimp Seared to perfection! Ceasar salad as good as I’ve had at the original Ceasar’s. And and very good happy ending espresso with a twist of lemon peal. Mmm..

The food is incredible. The photos are shrimp toast and penne vodka sauce that was delicious. Definitely worth coming for a great dinner

Lovely time at this restaurant! They went above and beyond to accommodate my indecisiveness with meals, and they did a half order of one of the pasta dishes for me! Love the paintings all around, and the wine cellar is so cool to see under foot as you are walking in!

I visited La Tavola for a family dinner right before Valentine’s Day (a little delayed on this review, oops) and was able to take part in some of their amazing Valentine’s specials, like the lamb chops and fun desserts that were offered. We were seated downstairs, and I really liked the vibe of the restaurant. Two of my family members ordered the lasagna bolognese, and we were completely shocked at the massive block that came out! Every meal we had was fantastic, and I’ll be keeping them in mind for Valentine’s or other holiday meals in addition to hopefully visiting more often!

It’s hard to believe this place is in Waterbury. I Live in Waterbury 10 years and I never been in this place. Wow wow hands down, it’s amazing place. We went for Valentines lunch and the staff were very attetive. We made a reservation 13th and due snow storm we had to book for next day, amazing and very understanding staff they accommodate us for next day even they were full booked. Appetizer wow shrimp toast , Jesus my mouth is drooling right now. Wine taste great, I like the way you can taste first and then decide if you like or not. Entree were great , chicken parmigiana and spaghetti with balls were amazing delicious. You can smell and see the fresh quality ,of the ingredients. Love it! We end with dessert banana cheese cake and was a bomb. I can’t wait for come back, price where very reasonable for what you eat and worth. It’s my new favorite place.

The best of the best. My husband and i travel SO much and try SO many restaurants and i have to say that this is one of our favorite Italian restaurant. Top notch food. So authentic and delicious. 🤤 very hospitable staff. They have such good knowledge of their menu. They are friendly and welcoming. Great ambience. They have pictures and paintings hung all over the wall that are beautiful to look at (they are for sale btw). They have a winery. Definitely worth a try!

Great experience from the beginning to the end. I had to plan a surprise birthday party in 30 days and after visiting multiple restaurants, LaTavola didn’t hesitate to make this dinner party come to life! Heather, the event planner was wonderful. The food was amazing and our waiters April and Josh made our gathering smooth and easy. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was! Thank you Nick! Our experience there was one that we will never forget. Thank you LaTavola and Pasquale for letting us make unforgettable memories!
